Timber has three enemies. Steel has none of them
Timber framing is vulnerable to fire, termites and moisture — three risks that are not rare occurrences in Western Australia but ordinary features of the climate. Steel does not burn, does not feed termites, and does not warp, swell or twist with the seasons the way timber can over a decade of WA summers.
None of this is a marginal upgrade. It is the difference between a frame that needs to be inspected and occasionally treated, and one that simply does not carry those risks in the first place.

Every Veloci frame is roll-formed from engineered drawings to the millimetre, in a factory, rather than cut and assembled on a windy block. That precision carries through the whole build: linings sit flush, doors and windows hang true, and the finished home holds its shape for the life of the building rather than settling and cracking as timber dries out.
Engineered for cyclones and bushfire as standard
Our frames are engineered for cyclonic wind loads up to Category 4 and certified for the wind region your site sits in. Combined with bushfire construction rated up to BAL-40, steel framing is not an upgrade for exposed WA sites — it is the baseline we build every home to, metro or remote.
The sustainability case
Steel is 100% recyclable at the end of a building's life, and our factory process generates a fraction of the waste a traditional timber-framed site build produces.
